Trail of Tears
In 1838 Andrew Jackson, after his presidency, harrassed Native American, trying to convince some Cherokee to sign a treaty calling for removal to the West. The Cherokee settled deep in the mountains by the Mississippi River. Some Cherokee hid in caves and eluded the soldiers, but in my opinion i don't see where that would be any better than just moving and starting a new life, when if you hide in a cave you have to stay secretive and hidden, and that would not be a good life. Some Cherokee were to limited resources along the way, and some slept on the cold snow with no covers and others had nothing to eat and drink. They were forced to move to the West, bringing only weapons and small amounts of clothing. After the removal, some Cherokee were so bad off, they starved to death. This will always be known as a sad, horrible ending for some Cherokee, also known as the Trail of Tears.
